Meet Vaneet Kaur Sahota

Vaneet completed her B.A. at Western University, and worked in the finance sector before pursuing a career in law.

Vaneet received an L.L.B. from the University of Buckingham in the U.K., graduating with First Class Honours and 2 merit awards – one for placing top of her class in Commercial Law and the other for placing second amongst her law school peers in final examination results. Vaneet’s favourite course in law school was family law, an area that piqued her practice interest. As a consequence of her hard work and focus, she placed second in her family law class.

During law school, Vaneet worked as the University’s representative for LexisNexis, providing students advanced and basic training in legal research; and she volunteered with the Citizens Advice Bureau Law Clinic, being a passionate advocate for access to justice for all. Vaneet was also an Officer of the University’s Student Law Society and placed third in the Student Law Society Mooting Competition.

Vaneet moved to Calgary and joined the dynamic Corcoran Law team to learn family law litigation and mediation under the guidance of Tim and Gagan. The office’s work culture, commitment to clients, and family-focused approach appealed to Vaneet. She is truly grateful for the invaluable experience she has received at Corcoran Law.

Vaneet’s education and training crafted her critical legal analysis skills and exceptional legal drafting. She is a respected member of the Corcoran Law team, having vitally assisted in resolving a wide range of files, from high net-worth separations to civil and criminal disputes.

Vaneet is fluent in English and Punjabi, and when she is not helping to creatively and strategically resolve client disputes, you can find her playing tennis, painting, or spending time with her dog and other loved ones.
