It started with a cold call in 2012.
Gagan called Tim, who answered her call and gave her 15 minutes of his billable time for free. 15 minutes led to a 6-month job shadowing experience, which turned into a life-time partnership.
In 2018 another call was made, this time from Vaneet to Gagan. After placing second in her family law class, she was eager to join a law firm which embraced her passion in family law and a collaborative work culture, which is what she found at Corcoran Law. Vaneet quickly became an esteemed colleague with her strategic thinking skills and high-quality legal drafting. Her dedication to clients and uncompromisable work ethic was a welcomed addition to the Corcoran Law team.
Tim is the heart of Corcoran Law, providing mentorship at every turn and a culture where business and individual values align. Family law is often deemed challenging, but when a firm is comprised of colleagues who can depend on one another and thrive under pressure, it manifests into efficient and positive client results. Our team’s Canadian upbringing and immigrant understanding allows us to connect with clients and build trusting solicitor-client relationships.
An appreciation for alternative dispute resolution inspired Gagan to invest in the Mediation of Divorce Family Conflicts training facilitated by Dr. Larry Fong and Rhoda Dobler QC. She highly recommends this LESA course for those interested in amicably resolving family disputes. Returning from training, Gagan was motivated to build Corcoran Law’s mediation practice, appreciating that litigation is not a requisite to conflict resolution. She has resolved countless client files through tactical negotiations and embraces a parallel tenacity in her mediation practice. She has since transformed the culture of the firm – Committed to Mediate. Prepared to Litigate.
Corcoran Law is dedicated to getting client results, and has a strong record of attaining the same. Our team can often be found at court (sometimes all morning) attempting to resolve client disputes in boardrooms, minutes away from appearing before a judge. We’re grateful for having been provided the opportunity to represent and connect with clients from various walks of life, which has allowed us to hone our dispute resolution skills across all areas of our practice.
